American Riders Association Commitment to Privacy.  At the American Riders Association (“ARA”, “we”, “us” and similar), your privacy is important.  To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice to explain our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.  To make this notice easy to find, we make it available at the www. Americanridersassociation.com homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

Regarding the Information We Collect:

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site.  We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email, chat or contact form.  We will not sell or rent this information with outside third parties, unless with your express permission and/or at your specific direction.

We will use your information in order to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us.  We will not share your information with any third party outside our organization, except for address information required by U.S. Mail or UPS, tec. In order to fulfil an order or other item that you have requested.

If you authorize us to, we may occasionally contact you via email in the future to tell you about specially negotiated discounts to motorcycle related vendors, motorcycle events, contests and prizes, and important news for motorcyclists or changes to this privacy policy.  You may choose to opt out of receiving these emails during signup or at any time after.

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the www. Americanridersassociation.com website.  On some pages, you can order products, make requests, and register to receive legal advice and or promotional materials.  The types of personal information collected at these pages are: name, address, email address, phone number.  We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order, joining ARA or requesting legal advice only to complete your request.  We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to fulfil that request.

The purposes of some of our programs are to assist you and other riders in the event of a roadside emergency or after a roadside emergency.  It is not disclosed to other persons unless with your permission and at your discretion.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive.  Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.  You can register with our website if you would like to receive additional information and updates on new products and services.  Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the appropriate registration form.

We use non-identifying ang aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers.  For example, we may tell an advertiser that a certain number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that a certain number of men and a certain number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provide to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

We Are Committed to Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.  We take precautions to protect your information.  When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline.  Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job, for example mailing out promotional items, are granted access to personally identifiable information.  The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

We are Committed to Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important.  For this reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
