Testimonials

  • Randy

As a steel worker, Randy was one of the first at Ground Zero after nine-eleven.  Interestingly, he is also a culinary chef who recently cooked a banquet for 520 members of his club.  Randy was pushed into a wall by an uninsured driver not once, but twice.  He has 37 doctors, an 8 X 10 plate in his head, has had multiple surgeries, and will need additional multiple surgeries. He’s as active as he can be, but he is in pain every day. He loves riding and looks forward to getting back to it.

“I don’t know what I would have done without the attorneys assigned to me by the American Riders Association.  Getting even the smallest things answered by the insurance company was a headache before they got involved.  With them, every time I got a bill, I just mailed it to the attorneys, and they saved me the headache.”

When Randy got his bike insurance, like many of us, he went for the lowest cost option.  The American Riders Association can help you find the right insurance for you.  We give you straight information about what best works for you.  Sometimes $20 per month more gives you the protection you need for yourself and your family.

  • Chet

Chet owns his own construction company, but like many small business owners, he always kept himself physically involved in the tough physical work and hasn’t just sat behind his desk.  Chet was run into a concrete barrier by an uninsured trucker.  The bike was totaled while his ankle was shattered, ribs broken, and head gashed.  Chet was in a wheelchair for over a year while he went through multiple surgeries.

“After the accident, I couldn’t get the insurance company to talk to me.  It was like pulling teeth to get an answer or to get anything done.  The attorneys assigned to me by the Association were the difference in my getting action.  I wouldn’t want anyone to go through what I went through, but if it happens to you, I know you’ll need the right kind of people with knowledge of insurance law to help you get back to as normal as you can possibly get.  I can’t say enough good things about the support I received in the legal side of things as a result of being a member of the American Riders Association. The attorneys reached a settlement of $900,000 with the insurance company, and thanks to the American Riders Association, my attorney cost was only $49,000.  If it weren’t for the Association, my fees could have been much greater.  I don’t have enough good things to say about the American Riders Association.”

Chet is riding again, and things get better every day.  He can’t do as much physically as he used to, but he’s still got his business and he works at that every day.

  • Garfield

Like many foundry workers who wielded a 16 lb. sledge every day, Garfield found himself with no choice but being on disability after he hit his 50’s.   He was with 15 riders in his club in a staggered pack, and a combination of bad road conditions and a car driver who made some bad decisions contributed to an impossible situation that led to Garfield and another rider going down.

“All I remember is a bike out of the corner of my eye slipping toward me and thinking ‘this is going to hurt’. People don’t realize the psychological effects of being in a severe accident.  Not only do you have memory loss that takes months to go away, you have panic attacks.  The attorneys assigned by the American Riders Association talk to me like a human being and understood what I was going through in those early days after the accident when my thought processes were still recovering.  The best compliment I can give them is ‘They are real’”

Garfield has been back on his bike for short stretches and will continue building up time so he can get back to riding, which is a big part of his life. With insurance companies for 2 riders and one car involved, it was a tough situation that attorneys assigned by the Association were able to steer through.
